Hikvision | Hikfire Focus Workshop Tacloban – Dealer Support & Empowerment by Philteq

March 4, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Hotel XYZ, P. Zamora St., Downtown, Tacloban City, Leyte

Last March 4, 2026, Philteq Enterprise Inc., a trusted IT distributor, brought together dealers and partners in Tacloban City for the Hikvision | Hikfire Focus Workshop. The evening was designed to provide practical product insights, live demonstrations, and meaningful engagement with our dealer community to strengthen dealer support and dealer empowerment.

The workshop welcomed 46 participants and ran from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, giving attendees ample time to explore solutions, ask questions, and see firsthand how these technologies can be applied in real-world scenarios.

Empowering Dealers Through Hikvision Solutions

One of the main sessions of the evening focused on Hikvision’s latest camera technologies, particularly ColorVu 3.0 and AcuSeek NVR, presented by a Philteq Pre-Sales Engineer.

ColorVu 3.0: Clear Color Images Even at Night

Dealers were introduced to ColorVu 3.0, Hikvision’s latest generation of full-color night surveillance. The session explained how the new ExpressIP Cameras powered by AI improve low-light performance while maintaining clear, detailed video footage.

Compared to earlier versions, ColorVu 3.0 provides smarter image processing and improved night visibility. The workshop also highlighted the difference between ColorVu 2.0 and 3.0, helping dealers understand how the newer technology delivers more reliable performance in real-world environments.

Some of the features discussed during the session included:

  • Motion Detection 3.0, which improves detection accuracy
  • Two-way audio allows communication through the camera
  • Smart Hybrid Light, which adapts to different lighting conditions

With Smart Hybrid Light, cameras can automatically switch between modes depending on the situation. For example, IR mode can be used at night, while white light is used during the day, and the Smart Mode automatically adjusts lighting when motion is detected.

Dealers also learned where these cameras are best installed — from business establishments and offices to residential areas and outdoor security setups.

To make the discussion easier to understand, the session included a short video explaining how ColorVu technology was developed, followed by a live demonstration using an actual ColorVu camera unit. Seeing the device in action helped dealers better visualize how the cameras perform in real surveillance environments.

The team also discussed IK10-rated camera durability, an important selling point when recommending cameras for areas that require stronger protection against physical impact.

AcuSeek NVR: Simplifying Surveillance for Dealers

Another highlight of the Hikvision session was the introduction to AcuSeek NVR, a solution designed to make video investigation faster and more efficient.

The discussion started with a short introductory video explaining how AcuSeek works and why it is useful for modern surveillance systems.

Traditional video review often requires manually checking long hours of footage. With AcuSeek, users can quickly locate specific people or vehicles in recorded footage using intelligent search tools.

During the workshop, the team demonstrated how AcuSeek works together with AcuSearch, showing how the two features complement each other to simplify investigations.

A live NVR demonstration allowed dealers to see how the system searches for footage using filters and visual references. This helped illustrate how businesses can significantly reduce the time needed to review surveillance recordings.

The session also briefly revisited AcuSense, explaining how it differs from AcuSeek. While AcuSense focuses on detecting humans and vehicles to reduce false alarms, AcuSeek focuses on fast video search and investigation. By understanding these differences, dealers can recommend the right solution depending on their clients’ needs, further highlighting dealer support and empowerment in choosing the right technology.

Hikfire Fire Detection Solutions: Supporting Dealers with Safety Technology

The second half of the workshop focused on Hikfire, Hikvision’s fire detection and alarm system solutions. The session was led by a Philteq Product Manager and focused on helping dealers understand how modern fire detection technologies can improve building safety.

Because fire safety systems can sometimes be difficult to visualize through slides alone, the session included multiple demonstrations and real scenarios to show how the solutions work in practice.

Smoke Detection and Fire Monitoring

One of the highlights was the live demonstration of a smoke detector, allowing attendees to see how quickly the system responds to smoke detection.

Participants were also introduced to Fusion Cameras, which combine surveillance and fire detection capabilities. These cameras are designed to detect smoke, flames, and abnormal temperature changes, helping identify fire risks early.

Some higher models also include thermal detection, which can monitor temperature levels and trigger alerts if unusual heat patterns or flames are detected.

The team showed sample footage captured by thermal cameras, helping dealers understand how these cameras can detect fire hazards even in challenging conditions.

Another interesting feature discussed was the system’s AI learning capability, which helps reduce false alarms by recognizing normal environmental behavior over time.

Fire Detection Systems for Different Applications

The workshop also covered several types of fire detection systems depending on the scale of the installation.

For example, the Standalone Series was discussed for smaller setups where simple configuration and maintenance are needed.

For larger installations, the team introduced wireless addressable fire alarm systems, which can support up to 128 devices, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, and strobe lights.

These systems can cover a radius of up to 1.5 kilometers using LoRa wireless communication technology, making them suitable for larger facilities.

Participants were also introduced to components such as:

  • Smoke gateways
  • Fire alarm control panels
  • Manual call points
  • Alarm notification devices

These solutions are designed to work together as part of a complete Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS).

The team also explained how different NVR models can be paired with fire detection cameras, depending on the project requirements.

To make the discussion more practical, several real-world scenarios were presented to show how early detection can help prevent fire incidents and improve safety in buildings.

Live Demonstrations and Raffle Highlights

After the technical sessions, the workshop concluded with a live demonstration of some of the devices discussed during the event, giving attendees a closer look at how the cameras and fire detection systems operate in actual setups.

To end the evening on a fun note, Philteq also held a raffle for the attendees, where several participants won devices and special giveaways they could take home and try themselves.

Additional Hikvision merchandise, such as caps, shirts, and bags were also distributed during the event.

These activities gave dealers a chance to experience the products beyond the presentation and explore how the technologies work firsthand.

Strengthening Dealer Support and Community

Beyond the product discussions, the workshop also served as a valuable opportunity to connect with our dealer community in the region.

Events like these allow dealers to stay updated on the latest technologies while learning directly from the Philteq team. More importantly, they create space for meaningful conversations about real installation challenges, customer needs, and emerging market opportunities.

We would like to thank the 46 dealers who joined us in Tacloban and made the evening both productive and engaging.
